Diesel Price in Malaysia Today: RM 5.42 per litre
For 24–30 Sep 2026, diesel costs RM 5.42 per litre at market price nationwide, up RM 0.15 from last week. Eligible Malaysians pay RM 2.10 under BUDI Diesel with their MyKad, and registered commercial vehicles pay RM 2.15 under SKDS.

Diesel price in Sabah and Sarawak
Since 1 July 2026, diesel in Sabah and Sarawak costs the same as in the Peninsula: RM 5.42 market price, RM 2.10 with BUDI Diesel, RM 2.15 with SKDS. The old fixed East Malaysia rate has ended. what changed for East Malaysian diesel
How much is a full tank?
- 60 litres: RM 325.20 at market price, RM 126.00 with BUDI Diesel (you save RM 199.20)
- 80 litres: RM 433.60 at market price, RM 168.00 with BUDI Diesel (you save RM 265.60)
The BUDI Diesel quota is 300 litres a month, shared with BUDI 95. Used in full at this week's prices, that saves up to RM 996.00 a month. Private pick-ups and jeeps can apply for an extra 100 litres (400 in total).

Is diesel cheaper in Sabah and Sarawak?
Not any more. Since 1 July 2026, diesel sells at one market price nationwide (RM 5.42 this week). The subsidy now depends on who you are, not where you fill up: BUDI Diesel RM 2.10 for eligible individuals, SKDS RM 2.15 for commercial fleets.
Who qualifies for BUDI Diesel at RM 2.10?
Malaysian citizens with a MyKad and a valid driving licence whose private diesel vehicle is registered in their own name with valid road tax. No application is needed for the basic quota of 300 litres a month (shared with BUDI 95); private pick-ups and jeeps can apply for an extra 100 litres. At this week's prices that saves RM 3.32 per litre.
