Our Mission

HargaMinyak.my exists for one simple purpose: to make it effortless for Malaysians to check current fuel prices, for free, with no registration and no fuss. We believe fuel price information is a matter of public interest, it affects the daily life of everyone who drives in this country.

Every week, Malaysian fuel prices change according to global markets and government policy. For many people, tracking these changes means hunting through news sites, official articles, or government portals. HargaMinyak.my consolidates all that information into one fast, simple, free page.

Data Source

All our fuel price data is pulled directly from the official Malaysian government portal via the data.gov.my API. This data is supplied by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia and announced every Wednesday afternoon, taking effect from Thursday through the following Wednesday.

We do not store any personal user data. Browsing this site is completely anonymous.

Data Methodology

Fuel price data is updated automatically via the official data.gov.my API every hour. When the Ministry of Finance publishes new prices on Wednesday afternoon, our system detects the change and displays the latest prices before Thursday 12:01 AM (effective time).

For regional comparisons (Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia), we use data from the official websites of fuel retailers in each country, updated monthly. Currency exchange rates are estimated based on Bank Negara Malaysia reference rates.

While we strive for accuracy, prices at individual petrol stations may differ slightly due to update timing, location, or station-level discounts. Please refer to the signage at your local station as the authoritative source.

Why We Built This

The site's founder is an ordinary Malaysian driver who got tired of slow government portals and ad-laden news sites. The goal was singular: one fast, clean, free, and genuinely useful page that anyone could access, any time.

We don't charge fees. We don't sell your data. We don't require registration. We just want to help Malaysians make smarter financial decisions about fuel.
