Malaysia Fuel Prices — September 2026
In September 2026, RON 95 retailed between RM 3.77 and RM 4.57 (average RM 4.18) and rose RM 0.80 over the month. RON 97 averaged RM 4.66 and Peninsular diesel RM 5.07. Eligible Malaysians paid the BUDI 95 subsidised rate of RM 1.99; the RON 95 figures here are the unsubsidised market price.
RON 97 averaged 9.4% more than the previous month (RM 4.26 → RM 4.66). That is 46.1% higher than a year earlier (RM 3.19).
1 September 2026: BUDI quota back to 300 litres. The monthly allowance returns to 300 litres, shared between RON 95 and diesel; pick-ups and jeeps can apply for 400.
