HargaMinyak.my is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

HargaMinyak.my does not require account registration. We do not collect your name, phone number, or email address unless you email us directly.

We automatically collect the following anonymous data:

• Page browsing (which pages you visit and how long)
• Device and browser type (e.g. iPhone Safari, Android Chrome)
• Approximate location (country/state only, not precise address)
• Referrer source (e.g. Google, Facebook)

2. How We Use Data

This anonymous data is used to:

• Understand site usage patterns
• Improve site performance and design
• Determine which articles are most useful to readers
• Report traffic to funders (not currently active)

We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

To run this site we use several third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy you can refer to:

• Google Analytics, analyses anonymous site traffic. Data is shared with Google subject to the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out via Google Analytics Opt-out.
• Google AdSense (planned), We plan to display ads via Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies to show ads based on your interests. See How Google Uses Information From Sites. You can opt out of personalised ads via Google Ad Settings.
• Cloudflare, speeds up and protects the site from attacks. Cloudflare may process your IP for this purpose. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
• Push notifications (self-hosted), we send push notifications using our own system (Notifly) running on Cloudflare infrastructure. Your push subscription token is stored only by us — no third party, no tracking.
• data.gov.my, official fuel price data source (API only, no personal data sent).

4. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. HargaMinyak.my uses cookies to:

• Remember your language preference (ms/en/zh)
• Google Analytics (anonymous analytics)
• Cloudflare (security and performance)

You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Deleting cookies will not prevent you from using this site.

5. Push Notifications

HargaMinyak.my offers push notifications (self-hosted on our own system running on Cloudflare), so you can get alerts when fuel prices change. Notifications are opt-in. You can unsubscribe any time through your browser settings.

6. Your Rights

• You can use this site without accepting cookies (adjust browser settings)
• You can unsubscribe from notifications at any time
• You can use the Google Analytics Opt-out to prevent GA tracking
• You can submit a data deletion request (though we don't store identifiable personal data)

7. Data Security

We use HTTPS for all site traffic. Analytics data is stored by Google under their own policies. We do not store any identifiable personal data on our servers.

8. Children

HargaMinyak.my is not targeted at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Policy Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new update date.
